The College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of New Brunswick (UNB), Canada, marking another milestone in COSTAATT’s mission to forge global alliances for the exclusive advantage of its students.
The MOU, signed in May 2025 by COSTAATT President, Dr. Keith Nurse, and UNB President and Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Paul J. Mazerolle, establishes a framework for collaboration in areas of shared interest. Key areas identified include faculty and student exchanges, joint research, academic symposia, and the sharing of knowledge and resources.
Discussions are already underway between the two institutions on specialized initiatives in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Environmental Studies, which will support study trips, research collaborations, and post-graduate opportunities for students. These ongoing conversations underscore COSTAATT’s strategic commitment to equipping graduates with the skills and global exposure necessary for today’s competitive landscape.
The MOU will remain in effect for an initial term of five years, with automatic renewal provisions, ensuring a sustained and evolving partnership.
With this agreement, COSTAATT continues to advance its vision of providing students with access to high-quality, internationally connected education, further strengthening its role as a leader in higher education within the Caribbean and beyond.
