Placement Tests

  • Applicants who receive an offer of a place in a programme may receive a placement assessment invitation from the Admissions Department. Do not be alarmed! If you do not pass or do as well as you expect, this will not affect your entry into the College.
  • You may be exempt from taking the evaluations in English Language and Mathematics if you already meet the requisite level of achievement. The results of these assessments help us determine whether you may benefit from academic support. If needed, we will place you in the appropriate level course to help you succeed in your major.
  • Please note that placement assessments are conducted online.

Interviews or Auditions

Some programmes require additional steps in the application process, including interviews or auditions. These are typically for highly competitive or specialised programmes where further assessment of skills, experience, or suitability is necessary. The following programmes requires an interview or audition.

Nursing, Health and Medical Science Technologies Programmes:

  • Selection Interview: All applicants to the Nursing, Radiography and Medical Laboratory Technology Programmes will be required to attend an interview.
  • Candidates will be evalutated on their communication skills, demonstrated commitment to the healthcare field, and understanding of the program. Applicants will be notified of the interview schedule after the initial application review. 

Performing Arts Programmes (Music):

  • Audition Requirement: Applicants for the Performing Arts Music programme must complete an audition as part of the admissions process.
  • Audition Details:
    • A recorded performance showcasing a solo performance on your chosen instrument or voice, along with sight-reading or a brief interview will be utilised to assess applicants to this programme.
    • Applicants will then be notified of the admissions decision and further instructions once the application is processed.
