Accreditation Status
It is with great pride that the Board of Trustees, management, staff and students of the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) announce that the College has been granted Institutional Re-Accreditation with the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT), for the maximum period of seven (7) years, with effect from November 19, 2017.
The College received its re-accredited status at a ceremony held at ACTT’s Head ffice, St Vincent Street, Port of Spain on Thursday 5th April, 2018, at which ACTT Executive Director, Michael Bradshaw and Deputy Chairman of the ACTT Board of Directors Dr. Ruby Alleyne presented the Certificate of Institutional Accreditation to COSTAATT’s President Dr. Gillian Paul and COSTAATT’s Chairman, Sheldon Cyrus. Also present at the ceremony were other members of the ACTT Board of Directors, and representatives of other tertiary education institutions.
This major milestone in the institution’s history comes at a time when the College is about to celebrate eighteen (18) years of existence and continues to fulfill its mandate of creating access for traditional and non-traditional students as a multi-campus institution, offering over 100 bachelor’s and associate degrees, diplomas and certificate programmes, in a wide range of disciplines. The ‘seal of accreditation’ is granted on the basis of a detailed and comprehensive evaluation of all aspects of the College’s academic and administrative operations and is evidence of the attainment and maintenance of high standards in the delivery of its programmes and services.
COSTAATT wishes to extend thanks to its Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and students, as well as the ACTT and members of the external evaluation team for their support and expression of confidence in the College’s continued hard work and commitment to excellence. The COSTAATT Board of Trustees, management, faculty, students and staff join with all partners and stakeholders in celebrating this significant achievement.
