    Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago – September 25, 2024 – The College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT) is pleased to announce the launch of its inaugural Innovation Cafe series. This new initiative aims to foster dialogue, collaboration, and innovation among academics, industry experts, and policymakers to address pressing issues facing our society.

    The inaugural Innovation Cafe focused on the topic of Recidivism and the Criminal Justice System: Policy and Reform. The event featured a distinguished panel of speakers, including Lara Quentrall-Thomas of Regency Recruitment and Resources Limited, Giselle Chance of Vision on Mission, and Dr. Kevin Peters, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Justice, Human Security, and Legal Studies.

    Participants from various stakeholders involved in the fight against crime in Trinidad and Tobago attended the event. The discussion was open and frank, with attendees sharing their perspectives and exploring potential solutions.

    The Innovation Cafe series will continue on the last Wednesday of every month, to address a range of pressing issues, providing a platform for collaboration and innovation. COSTAATT is committed to fostering a culture of critical thinking and problem-solving to drive positive change in our society.
