Programme Description
This programme is designed to train individuals in the art and science of converting medical audio recordings into accurate and comprehensive written medical reports. The programme aims to equip students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and professional ethics to pursue a career as a medical transcriptionist – an integral person in healthcare documentation and any information management system.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects, inclusive of English A and Mathematics, Grades 1,2,3* or A, B, C. *Grade 3 accepted if attained in June 1998 and beyond.
Mature entry is considered with five (5) years’ experience in keyboarding, medical clerk, certificate in legal or business transcription.
