BSc Networking
School of Business and Digital Technologies
ICTs and Digital Technologies
Programme Description
This programme is designed for individuals seeking a career in information technology, with an emphasis on networking. Students acquire sound foundational skills in key areas such as network administration, network security, network architecture and wireless communication. Students receive hands-on training in network systems commonly found in business environments; discover how information systems support organizational success; and how the technologies that comprise the network infrastructure allow for successful transfer and use of mission critical business information. In addition, students install, configure, secure, administer, and troubleshoot network systems; address the management of users, shared resources, and various other network components such as routers and switches in LANs, WANs, wireless and mobile network environments. This well-structured BSc program bridges theory and practice, ensuring graduates are job-ready for roles like Network Engineer, Cloud Specialist, or Security Analyst while laying groundwork for advanced certs (e.g., CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking).
