Programme Description

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Latin American Studies is designed to promote the study of foreign languages that support Trinidad and Tobago’s trade and economic development initiatives and to encourage a deeper appreciation of other cultures. In addition, the focus on the history, society and politics of Latin America makes this a strong interdisciplinary degree. As such, the graduate will be able to contribute to the multilingual and multicultural environment we live in as it relates to trade politics, diplomacy and culture, while offering a strong foundation in the Spanish Language.
