Programme Description
This course provides training for teachers, parents and caregivers in strategies for providing support for children who have severe language disabilities. It presents concepts of special needs, an overview of augmentative and alternative communication, and detailed strategies for assisting persons with communication challenges. This course focuses on practical strategies and techniques for implementing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to empower individuals facing communication challenges. Participants will gain insights into AAC assessment, selection of appropriate tools, and hands-on experience in developing and implementing effective communication plans. The course is designed for educators, speech-language pathologists, healthcare professionals, and caregivers seeking to enhance communication outcomes for individuals with diverse needs.
