Programme Description

The Associate in Applied Science degree is appropriate for persons who wish to enter the nursing profession. This programme has two tracks: general and psychiatric nursing. The main aims of the programme are to prepare nurses with the critical thinking, analytical, evaluation and technology skills and competencies that will equip them to provide quality patient care in any local, regional or international health care setting. It also provides a sound foundation for further studies in nursing or other health science professions.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects, inclusive of English A and Mathematics, Grades 1,2,3* or A, B, C. *Grade 3 accepted if attained in June 1998 and beyond.
