Programme Description

The AAS degree in Graphic Design develops students’ skills in the latest technologies, while building a solid foundation in traditional art and design. Students learn the theories of advertising, layout, type, colour and illustration and become proficient in the use of electronic technologies for visual communications. The internship at the end of this degree programme gives participants an opportunity to network and work in the field.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects, inclusive of English A and Mathematics, Grades 1,2,3* or A, B, C. *Grade 3 accepted if attained in June 1998 and beyond.
Mature Entry: Applicants over 25, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience are also considered for admission. Such candidates must submit detailed curriculum vitae and a portfolio of their work with the application form. The Department may also conduct interviews to determine the candidate’s readiness to pursue the degree programme.
