Programme Description
Business today requires individuals who are prepared in a myriad of disciplines. The AAS degree in Business Administration prepares the student for entry into a business environment, ensuring that they understand the fundamental operations of any business, including accounting management, finance and marketing. With value-added courses in project management and information systems, students are well prepared to take up a role to support managerial and business functions at the end of this programme.
Requirements
Minimum five (5) CSEC/GCE O’ Level subjects, inclusive of English A and Mathematics, Grades 1,2,3* or A, B, C. *Grade 3 accepted if attained in June 1998 and beyond.
Applicants with relevant CAPE passes, with Grades I, II or III or GCE ‘A’ Level passes, Grades A or B may be considered for advanced standing in the associate degree programme and will be awarded a transfer of credits where applicable.
Mature Entry: Applicants who are over the age of 25, with a minimum of 5 years’ work experience, may also be considered for admission to the associate degree programme. Such candidates must submit a detailed curriculum vitae with the application form. The department may also conduct interviews to determine candidates’ readiness to pursue the BBA in Management and Entrepreneurship. Students using this option for entry must pursue the award of credit for experiential/workplace learning by accessing the College’s Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition Services (PLAR). They will be awarded PLA credits where applicable.
