COURSE DESCRIPTION

Vector art provides the crisp accuracy in the placement and proportion of lines and letters that are essential in visual identity and packaging design. This course will focus on developing the vector art skills and techniques needed to create package designs and point-of-sale displays. Through the use of 2D and 3D techniques in Adobe Illustrator the student will create mobiles, banners, shelf talkers and packaging. Digital drawing, composition and perspective will be covered. Through projects based on creating point-of-sale displays, layouts and package design mock-ups the student will achieve invaluable knowledge that will make them marketable in their design career.
