JEWELRY MAKING AND DESIGN
This course aims to introduce students to the knowledge and techniques in the creation of contemporary jewelry design. Students will explore and experiment with both traditional and non-traditional materials and processes to create contemporary and unique jewelry objects. This course places strong emphasis on design and craft (of contemporary jewelry) as well as the theory, social responsibility of jewelry as an art form. Students will produce finished products that are market ready within this course.
Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
