Information Systems Project Management
This course is designed to give students an understanding of, and the ability to apply the principles of managing Information Technology (IT) projects to successful completion. The concepts of management styles, organizational structures, management strategies and powers, estimating time and cost, the cost of quality, network diagrams, managing risks and monitoring and controlling projects are discussed, and applied by way of group projects. Attention is also given to the concepts involved in communication, leadership and the professional responsibility of a project manager during the life cycle of an IT project. It focuses on the generally accepted practices of project management recognized by the Project Management Institute, Inc. of the United States of America.
Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
