Image Manipulation
This course provides introductory, and intermediate skills necessary to utilize Adobe Photoshop for the Graphic Designer. Adobe Photoshop is an image-manipulation tool that can help students analyse, enhance, and edit images. This practical course will allow the student to create digital photomontages and special effects through layer masks, image adjustments, filters and lighting. The student will apply the practical skill knowledge and Photoshop techniques to develop captivating advertising for print. Topics covered include working with selections, layer basics, masks and channels, retouching and repairing, painting and editing, vector masks, paths and shapes, special effects, and photo editing.
Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
PREREQUISITE: Introduction to Graphic Design (GRDE 129) or Principles of Design (GRDE 122)
