This course exposes students to the major theories that seek to explain the relationship between crime and the media. Students who enrol for this course can expect to be challenged to explore the literature that examines media construction of crime. Contemporary issues related to crime and the media such as cyber-crime, media-crime research, surveillance, panopticism, synopticism are discussed in-depth.
Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
