The course will commence on the basis that students have successfully completed Caribbean Legal Systems and have been introduced to the concept of constitutions. To further develop an understanding of constitutions, the course will look at the background to the constitution of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and its effect and application to the country and its citizens. It will also explore the theoretical foundations of constitutions generally while advancing discussions on the rights and freedoms of the citizens enshrined therein, the savings clause and amending formula and the Judiciary as stated in the constitution.
Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
