Introduction to Mass Communication

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a foundation course designed to introduce students to the mass communication process and mass media industries, their operations, ethics and regulations. Students will be taught key mass communication theories and the effects of the mass media. They will examine the role of the media in a democratic society and state their (mass media’s) impacts on cultures, contemporary life and society.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
